To present the main characteristics of living beings and what makes them different from non-living beings.
To make students familiar with differences in animal food habits: carnivores, herbivores and omnivorous.
To know how different animals develop: oviparous and viviparous.
To understand different ways to group (or classify) animals based on different criteria.
To stimulate the interest for animals through simple attitudes that display respect for the environment.
